It’s the return of the big boys this week...

The new Premier League football season kicks off on Saturday, with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool all in action.

As well as the big guns, I’ll be keeping a close eye on the opening performances of the three newly promoted Premier League teams – QPR, Swansea and Norwich City.

The big names are back in the tennis this week too...

Roger Federer, Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal have all been keeping a low profile since Wimbledon a month ago – but they’re back in the spotlight this week at the ATP Masters Rogers Cup tournament in Montreal, Canada.

Unlike smaller tournaments on the ATP Tour, all ‘Masters 1000’ events require the top players to compete. And the impact of Federer, Murray, Djokovic and Nadal on the Outright Winner betting can’t be overlooked...

The Rogers Cup has been won by one of those four players for each of the last seven years running.
